Shreveport-area Legislators endorse Cleo Fields for LA06

Baton Rouge, LA [Aug. 5, 2024] - Today, Shreveport-area legislators announced their support for State Sen. Cleo Fields in his campaign for congressman of Louisiana’s Sixth District. Fields secured the endorsement of State Sen. Sam Jenkins, as well as representatives Tammy Phelps, Joy Walters and Steven Jackson.

“I’m extremely proud to endorse my Senate colleague in his run for Congress in part because his prior experience in Congress makes him the most qualified for the job,” Sen. Jenkins said. “But most importantly, I know Cleo Fields, so I know he will be a fighter for all of our families in Washington D.C.”
